Stock CD Player messed up

This happens to all my CD-R's and some retail cds. When I pop the cd in its fine, but when I start skipping tracks, say from 01 = 07 it takes over 20 seconds to load the next song. Also, when I was listening to a CD i inserted, halfway through track 4 the CD stopped playing. I assume the problem is with the little lazer reader thingy's mobility. This wasn't the case before. My car is 6 months old and I'm getting it checked out at Honda next week. I was wondering if anyone has heard of a problem like this.

I know that some CD-R's have issues with the stock player, it has something to do with the Burn process, you must close the session after the CD is done being burned. Also some cheaper type blank CD-R's can also be a problem; but if standard recorded CD's aren't working corrctly either, than I say its just a messed up CD player.

Thanks for all your replies. I don't understand the laser heating up because it does the same thing when I start my car after an overnight stay.
