Rough clutch engagement/disengagement

okay, i have this issue, it only happens sometimes. after driving for a while, when shifting at higher RPMs like after 3k RPM, when pressing in the clutch pedal, the pedal feels kinda scratchy. Like, i can feel it is sort of rough when i clutch in and out when the RPMs are high. Now, a little about the car, it has 15000 miles on it, a 2002 EX (manual of course), when the clutch is pressed and depressed, it travels smoothly. it is as light as stock. i believe when a clutch goes bad, the pedal gradually gets harder to push, but this isnt the case in this situation. i am thinkin that this is a master cylinder issue.. but not too familiar in that area, so i dont know what to think. and will the warranty apply to this issue if it is clutch related??
