Rep Power: 0 2 rev limiter???
well, i got a 2001 civic ex auto and it seems to have 2 rev limiters. when the car is stationary and the transmission is either in park or neutral, when you punch the gas in all the way, the engine cuts in and out at 5k rpms. when the car is moving faster than 10 mph, you can get it all the way to 7k rpms. does anyone have this problem with a 7th gen civic ex auto? i know that this was non existent in my old 5th gen civic.

Rep Power: 0 so what exactly is the problem? The limiters are doing what they're supposed to be doing. on a side note, why the hell would you wanna be reving up to and past 5k

Rep Power: 0 Thats how its suppose to be. When you are parked or in neutral, the car will not rev past 5k but when the car is in motion it will go up to redline, its some sort of safety thing. My friends that have an automatic are all like that.
