door ding

alright i know you guys will laugh but i have only had my 03 dx for 5 weeks and someone put a frikkin ding on my passenger door. the paint is not chipped or anything but from certain views, you can see the ding clearly. all of the cars i've had before this new one have not mattered to me, so i haven't had any experience fixing dings but this is a new car and my favorite and i want the **** fixed now. my friend said we might be able to take off the door and pound it back out but i want to know if any of you know of an easier way (besides getting those rediculous tools from the infomercials on tv)....please help.

I know what you mean, I had my car only 4 weeks and some a-hole dinged my passenger door; what really pissed me off was that I parked way out in the back of the parking lot. If its really small, about the size of a dime, like mine is, theres not a whole lot you can do because mines right in the crease of the door panel. It bothered me for a while but have slowly got use to it because you can only see it at certain angles, and a body shop charges a little to much for such a small ding. I haven't got one since that so I guess I got mine out of the way.

Same thing happened to me. I took all the trim off the door and found out I can't get at it myself. The dent was right on the crease in the door as well. I called Dent Doctor. Any of those paintless dent removal guys will work. They charged about 50 bucks and it is good as new.

i know.......it's like why even bother getting a brand new car? why not get a used one? and why can't we get insurance to cover little things like that without having to pay an outrageous premium? dammit!

(besides getting those rediculous tools from the infomercials on tv)....

The Ding King actually works.... so maybe don't knock it until you've tried it. As long as there isn't a crease or sharp center, it will take the dent out.
