AIR VENTS

My vents move by themselves whenever I close the driver and passneger vents. Sometime I like to really crank it up and close the 2 side vents so that more will come out of the center vents. well when I do this they turn to one side or the other. They are weak or something?? DOes anybody elses car do this? My car is still under warranty, does this sound like a warranty issue?

I supose this could be covered under warrenty becasue the vents are designed to close, but if you even have just a little bit of Armor All protectant on your dash the dealer will tell you that the Armor All is the problem. I've seen many vents in cars that wouldn't stay in place because to much Armor All protectant was causing them to fall.

I don't use armor-all, I use the genuine honda cleaner for my dash and all my interior. That really gets on my nerves and it's been doing it since the first week I bought it. I'm just darn sick and tired of it now.

i got mine done at the dealership, all they do is rip out the entire center console and give you a new one... they didnt bother just changing the vents on mine since the rest of it was like warping tooo .

I agree that some Honda dealers suck, but don't go in with a attitude, just explain calmly what the problem is, if they start with some dealer BS like its not covered, or its normal, tell them you don't agree. Also if they come at you with the Armor All thing, show them you use the Honda cleaner, that will clam them up quick.

I worked for a dealer a few years ago and I can tell you first hand that if you keep your cool and keep persisting that you want satifaction they'll come through for you. If you start off by getting pissed they'll keep your car for a few extra days just to mess with you. I'm sure you know all of this and this probably is no new news to you, but I just wanted to give you my 2¢ worth of experiance.

About air vents problems. does any of your vents rattle. I mean rattle like crazy annoying rattle. mine does. What should I do. Will the dealer fix it under warranty.

sounds like warranty should cover it. Mine doesn't rattle so I assume that its NOT supposed to do that. Take it back and see what they say.
