Keyless entry & power door lock problem
Hello, forgive me if the solution to my problem is painfully obvious. Starting on monday, i went out to my car in the morning and pressed the unlock button on my factory remote, and i saw the lights flash, but my door (drivers's side, naturally) wasnt unlocked. I could hear the passengers door unlocking and locking (when i pressed lock), but the drivers door lock wouldnt budge. I put my key in the door, and it unlocked with no problem. Its Wednesday night, and my power door lock on drivers side still isnt working, i have to lock/unlock with key. Does anyone know what could be the problem?
It sounds like the power lock actuator motor is bad, does the drivers door lock and unlock when you use the switch on the door?, because if it doesn't its the actuator, but if the switch does lock and unlock the drivers door then its something in the reciever. If your car is under warrenty take it back to the dealer.

The same thing happened to my passenger side door. I took it into Honda and it turns out something on the door was blocking the lock. I don't know what it was but it was covered by the warranty and the dealer did it for free. So like the others said, just take it to the dealer.
Dealer appointment for Fri to get passenger door actuator replaced. It's -25C here and it doesn't work, maybe I'll get my bumper painted and the rear deck rattle fixed too.
What a POS, at least with a $500 car you know what your getting...
Craig.,

I live in chicago, and just 2 days ago i had the exact same problem. I thought it was fuse at first, but i found out both doors are controlled by one fuse. It didnt work for a day. but when i was about to take it to the dealer, it worked again. The dealer said it was something about the computer getting too cold. Also, the passenger door, the one that didn't work opens with a different sound than does the driver side one. The passenger side has a louder click sound when i open it, anyone know if this is normal?
