Dim Headlight Issues

Hey guys, I searched the forums relentlessly but didn't find any threads regarding the exact problem I am having.

My driver's side headlight is extremely dim. It is on and producing light, but very little, and not usable light for driving. It has roughly the intensity that my marker bulbs have. This problem developed after having my projectors in for about a week. After having the projectors in, this happened, so I switched bulbs, and the problem continues. I checked the conversion harness for the TYC projectors and no problems were showing, so I thought perhaps it was internal and I couldn't see it, so I swapped in my factory headlights.

After swapping in my factory headlights, the problem continued. I switched bulbs from one side to the other again, and still the same result. There seems to be an electrical booster of some kind for the factory headlamps located below them and behind the front bumper crossmember, but i'm not sure if that is what that little black box really is. Have I burnt this booster out? Is there no booster at all to increase the wattage, and am I on crack?

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks in advance,
RallyEX

MangoEX should not be trusted
Have you installed an Injen Intake? Cause if you did, theres a group of wires that you must REBOLT tight to the chassis, I just rebolted it to a different ground point. This is most probably a case of a bad ground. Make sure ALL grounds are tight, or you can just get an upgraded wiring harness with heavy gauge wire from www.suvlights.com ... it improves headlight brightness by 30% because it increases voltage to your lights by 2v.. very easy to install. complete w/relays and all.

Mango, are you referring to the Injen Cold Air intake, or the short Injen intake?
