wierd idle problem

well this is wierd. for the past 2 weeks, maybe once or twice a week after driveing my car for just a short duration when i stop my idle will start bounceing around.

i know our cars do that normally to a degree, but this is MUCH more exaggerated. it will go from about 600 to almost 2500 then bouce between the two for about 30 seconds rythmicly. i will turn her off and i wont get the problem again <odd, no?> its getting embarassing. people are looking at me like im trying to get them to race in the parking lot

There's a TSB about some part that breaks off inside the stock air filter assembly.. not sure if it applies to you though.

EDIT: It could also be the TPS is defective.. but that would be odd since its your car is fairly new.

see i was thinking tps, but i was also thinking some sort of voltage issue. my battery died the day before, and maybe the vafc wasnt recieveing enough voltage and was giving an erratic signal to the tps sensor.

i got that too, but the car dies once in a while also. It might be a bad MAP sensor or TPS sensor
