Handling.. and getting service for your broken 7th Gen

Alright, I've been trolling these forums for a few weeks now, and decided to haul my lazy fingers off my mouse and fill in a forum membership, because I'm worried.

No, no... downright freaked out.

I leased my '02 Si Coupe (Canadian , eh?) back in November of last year, so I'm getting all ready to throw the sparklers on the cake. Now, I know I put TONS of kms on my car, and I bought the extra kms at the start of the lease. I'm at 37k now. I am very diligent about service intervals, just about always going to |H| for even oil changes. I do drive her hard, but I got the car to drive the darned thing - not to sit in my driveway and look pretty.

After reading the posts on here for a while, my "Civic Experience"TM has begun to sound a lot like you guys' stories. My drivers seat keeps coming loose. My car squeeks like an invading army of mice. I have a nasty "c l - UNK" when shifting from Park to Drive (auto, yes. Flame away.), and my mileage has begun to drop a bit (may be tied into the weather.. but I doubt it). Now, I haven't modded a thing on her yet - a few months after I got her I lost my job and I've been looking ever since, so lack of the bling-bling has held me up there. Oh, and did I forget to mention the rock chips? All 40,000 of them? The front of her barely has any paint left - it's chipped all to hell from rocks last winter. And the chipping has gotten worse over the summer! And no, I don't drive on any dirt roads.

Now let's get one thing straight - luv my car. But I'm getting worried by all the bad experiences you guys are having - now mirroring my own experience. The dealership has begun to almost shy me away when I come back with my wiggly seat - I've done everything short of bringing in the darned TSB and waving it around while singing show tunes in the bays. I'm just curious to know how you guys are tackling the problems that you're having, and what kind of "tactics" you're having to resort to.

Try to keep the busting knees, drive-bys, and firebombing stories to a minimum

well i was told by my dealer that all my problems were normal and that's the way civics just are. i would guess the TSB from those links ppl have posted would be your best bet -- especially for that wobbly driver's seat.

my favorite catch phrase is what my brother said once - "Those Civics are designed for skinny Asian kids... not fat white boys."

Too bad he couldn't talk for a week after cracking out that little jem .... my hand still aches.

that clunk that ur hearing when u switch from park to reverse is the tranny changing gears under pressure.
it only happens when ur on an inclined plane right?
to correct this problem u should always pull up ur parking brake after parking and when u leave put ur foot on the brake, pull down the parking brake and shift from park to reverse.
