i broke my shifter what do i do

ok so here is the deal. last night Nov 4th i was bringing my girl home from work she was sopose to get out at 9 but the girl comming in after her did not show up till 12:45 so yeah i was pissed at that, thats not my girls fault, but when i was bringing her home we got into alittle arguement and i was just so tired and all i wanted to go was goto bed she got pissed at that, ya know **** its late i have to get up at 4:30. so i get to her house and i just got so pissed that i slammed my Automatic shifter into Park and when i did that i shatered my housing to the shifter and little pieces and now its hard to change gears and i hear all little crunching noises. this sucks. well it seemed like a good idea a the time. So if anyone has any DIY on how to take apart the boot for the shifter so i can get in there and see what other damage is done. also if anyone has a website where i might be able to order the parts would be cool.

ok well its hard to explain but its not the trim peice with all the letters its the shaft that you grap to shift the lower part cracked and part fell under the console so i have to somehow take that all off and get the broken peices out and replace them. i will take pics later today when i get home from work

i was pissed off at my girl and i pulled up to her house an rather then puttin it in park easy i just pushed the button and grabed the shaft and like making a fist and basicly punched it forward

How the hell did it get into P!? you gotta press the button to shift into P don't you!? if so i think you messed up more than the shaft if you just slammed it from D into P...[IMG]i/expressions/face-icon-small-confused.gif[/IMG]
