if you go to the links page, and look at toasty's DIY page, you can do the rear deck removal, and insulate it or something. thats what i did, and the deck doesn't rattle anymore. i just put some material on the underside of hte deck, and had it "extend" so that it "wraps" up the edge of the deck where it meets the glass. that way there is no more rattle. works good, and ya can't even see the material. (with the window tint).

if youdo decide to do this tho, give yourself plenty of time tho, cuz its a pain in the to do....at least it was for me.

U can try the DIY's or do the lazyperson's thing: Go to the dealership and beatch. Everytime I hear a rattle, I take mine in...Milk the warranty for what it's worth!!! Anyhow, in regards to your prob: My '01 DX was doing the exact same thing...The dealership put felt insulation around all of the screws and felt insulation where the rr inner plastic quarter pannel meets the rr dash and that solved the prob. no rattling no matter how much base is pumpin. OH YAH! There might be a surcharge of around $2 (canadian) if u have a DX b/c the felt insulation only came factory on LX's BUT for $2 (cndn) it's a no brainer.

I went to the dealer 3 times and they couldn't fix it. Besides its not that easy to go to the dealer, drop the car off the whole day and catch a ride to and from work or home. Also I'd rather fix the small stuff like that anyhow because I know its fixed correctly. Now if its a engine related problem or sometihing like that I''ll take it in. Just my 2¢
