remote turn-on from amp keeps blowin cig lighter fuse!?!?!??!??!

i spliced into my cig lighter for my remote turn-on for my amp. in between i wired in a rocker switch.
-the positive on the switch is connected to the positive on the cig lighter
-the ground on the switch is connected to the negative on the cig lighter
-the accessory terminsl on the switch it wired straight to the remote terminal on the amp.
problem is the fuse for the cig lighter blows every time i put the switch to "on", i tried 10A then 15A, then 20A, what should i do? should i ground the switch instead of havin it go to the neg on the cig lighter? or tap into power from somewhere else? please help.
