AHH! no cat!

ok i got my muffler instaleld today.. and for some reason, the shop cut off my cat. so my 2.25" piping is goin straight from the header. and then the light that looks like an engine (the orange one...) came on like 2 hours after i left the shop. and i was lookin around seein wat was wrong and came to realize that my cat was gone.

if the shop still has my cat and put it back on right n everything, will that emissions light thing turn off and everythin go back to normal?

LOOK NO CAT!

IDQcivic should not be trusted
You're probably gunna need an o2 simulator to get your CEL to go off... I installed a racing downpipe and needed to install the o2 simulator to get it to work properly. I got mine from www.diabloautosports.com.

Tomo, if the mullets won't put the cat back on then get that 02 sensor simulator (was 44 bucks) and I am sure we could put it on in my garage or something.

IDQcivic, was it involved to install it?

Listen to IDQ, he's right. I also installed the O2 simulator. Works great. IDQ gives wiring instructions at the following thread.

if i install the O2 sim, would that void my ECU warranty along with my exhaust warranty?

Well, hate to tell you this, but in answer to your warranty. It is gone, gone, gone. At least on the ECU and especially the exhaust. The dealer/Honda can easily claim that an O2 simulator might have sent a bad signal or the wires you spliced grounded out.

Worse, if you live in a smog controlled state, you are illegal. But that is your risk, so have fun and be safe.
