Installing new fender... ?

Hey you guys. Last Wednesday, I had a slight accident with a pole and messed up my right fender. If you're wondering... it looks like this:

So Saturday morning, I buy myself a new fender for $120 at a Honda dealer... yeah, it retails for more but I got a discount:

Hopefully next week I can get it painted for a good price, but my question is can I install it myself? It looks like it's just bolted onto the body but I got a small sheet of paper with the fender that gave some "do not do this..." kinda stuff to the fender, and it mentioned welding the fender. Does it have to be welded to the body of the car? Or is it something I can just bolt on myself? I'd already know if I knew someone who installed fenders by themselves but I don't. Thanks for your help.

as far as i know, and from looking at the fender multiple times and how it mounts, i am almost positive it is only attached with screws/bolts onto the other parts of the frame. thats why ppl can easily change those z3-fenders and stuff. btw, here is a link to a tech diagram of that part, so you can see what parts are needed to mount it and where it mounts

Thanks for the site, slikor! I was looking for that site forever when it came to looking for the part.

The accident happened out of me forgetting where I was. I was in a parking space that was garaged under hotel rooms. The left of the car was a solid wall, and to the rear right side of my car there was a pole. My friend's car was on the other side of the pole next to my car. He backs his car out and drives away. As I was going in reverse, I used my rear view mirror to look behind me (pole out of sight but I saw my friend's car)... as I was halfway out the space I began to turn out and look behind me (pole is now in front of me)... big mistake. When I turned out, I hit something going like 2-3MPH and it was that goddamn pole. I was so pissed but it could've been worse. If I hit the door, this repair would've been a lot more expensive!

All of the bolts and plastic clips to the fender are in tact. The door can open without scratching the fender and the fender's not pushed in so far that it scrapes the hood. People were telling me to get z3 fenders but I don't like them... my car is not a show car (yet.) I want it to look simple and those fenders won't help but I appreciate their ideas. Thanks for the help. If anyone else has anything more to add, be my guest.

Yup! It was me with Zell.! I'm a witness. When I saw it I was like "OUCH!!!" I felt sooo sorry fer mah' buddy Zell. But it looks like there's good news! Looks like you can DIY it! Just get it painted, prolly cost like 50-100? Shouldn't cost more than that. Well if you need a hand just call me up! Hopefully I can help somehow.

I'm pretty used to driving with a half-f*kked up car now. Thanks, Edgard.
