Paint chipping off bumper

Just a little FYI for anyone interested. A few weeks ago I noticed something hanging off my bumper right beneath the taillights. As I got closer, I noticed that the paint was chipping off. I then went and looked at the other side and sure enough there was a strip of paint that had already came off right beneath the other taillight. I posted about this issue and people said to take it back and have the dealer fix it.

Well, I took it to the dealer, and they repainted the whole bumper without any problems. They said that they had seen some other instances where this had happened. I probably wouldn't have noticed if it weren't for the paint still hanging on the bumper, so I thought this might be useful to anyone who wants to check their car and make sure the paint is still fine.

No, they repainted it for free. They even gave me a rental car while they had mine.

I did the same thing back in March... Honda sent out a memo to the dealers about this problem. I guess its more than common, but it doesn't classify as a recall. Anyway, they ordered the touch up paint dropped the rear bumper and fixed the problem. No charge!
