calipers sticking??
when my car has been in one place for a while (for instance when i park it for the night) and i go to start it up, i drive off compleatly normally but the first time i touch the breaks i get a "clank". it only happens once and i never hear it agian until i let it sit for at least a few hours...im thinking its the calipers sticking. any honda techs help would be great!

I get the same thing. People say that it is the calipers adjusting. I don't know though, the 5 other hondas I owned never did that and I have never hear a car do that period.

Calipers are floating type, which means they adjust everytime you touch the breaks. The clunk sounds like the pads slightly shifting into place. Then after the car has cooled down for a few hours the pads may contract slightly out of place. When I turned wrenches for a living most times that type of noise occured after someone replaced thier brakes and didn't use the proper retaining "clip kits". The only other thing I could thing of is a possible loose strut. Just my 2¢
