stub/intermediate shaft??
i just got a new passanger axle and its got a female end... and a piece of paper saying i need to re-use my intermediate shaft.... i was like wtf...

So they sent you a wrong axle. Looks like the catalog listing is completely wrong to start with, no wonder it's wrong. Maybe they have the 1.7 version confused with the 2.0L version? IDK but it looks all wrong for a 1.7.
Send it back and try again? Or get your money back......
