Bought an 01 lx and had the transmission rebuilt. The transmission range sensor never worked, after changing it 5 times it still doesnt work right. This last one actually worked right for a few hours until going into a glitch like mode. It will show the prndl light up if you mess around (move the shifter up and down through the gears).
I'm not sure what to do about this so here's another problem, cruise control not working. Changed servo, the brains (module), several switches. I'm wondering if these two could be related. Thanks for any help.

Did you check the ASCD bumper on the brake pedal?

Our cars are at the age when those break and fall off, when that happens the cruise control system thinks your foot is always on the brakes..

What are the fault codes?

Cruise can't work if it doesn't know the trans is in the right gear....

I don't remember the codes exactly but one of its descriptions was faulty T.R.S.

Right, thats what I figured. The few hours that it was working the last time cruise control didnt work.
