ok so im in new mexico..about to head back to california.. got this civic ex with no catalytic converter and a header with 2 o2 ports... also an AEM intake.... none of wich will pass in california.. any ideas on what parts will work?
The intake should. Should be a sticker with a CARB EO number on it. If so, you're good to go. I'm almost positive that all AEM intakes have CARB EO numbers.
If you want a header, the DC sports one is 50 state legal. Part number HHC5019
Downpipe with cat, the only thing that'll pass with CA is OEM. Be prepared to shell out hella money or find a pick-a-part with the downpipe still there.
Cat-back exhaust, as long as it's less than 95dB you should be good.
that drawing is great... thanx.. i wonder if the vtec even has an AIR/FUEL ratio sensor...... your drawing also shows one sensor on the catalytic converter.. is that accurate? btw... heres the header on it...
Get NTK or DENSO brand "oe fit" (or whatever they call it) sensors.
Each mfr has a website where you can look up their part numbers then do your searching.
i need to get catalytic converter and oem header... basically i wanna put it all back stock.. to pass the california smog and safety inspection. but it has header and straight pipe.
i just confirmed D17A2 engine. and found the 02 plug tucked under the subframe near lower firewall.. and other plug near thermostat.. with brackets to run the 02 wire.. straight pipe after header with no holes for 02 sensors..
