Hi ! I have a 2005 hybrid civic that was having issues with movement of the AAT shift stick. Eventually the linkage that connects the end of the cable to the transmission itself broke and i am in the process of replacing it. I have removed it and am looking for a replacement part. I am hoping someone can direction me to a trusted and hopefully cheap as possible place to get the cable.

I don't think cheap is going to be a part of this repair, unless you scavange one from a junk yard.

I found the section on the microfiche, but I didn't know which engine/transmission you have - there were two possibilities for an automatic.

I found some cheaper on ebay when I did a search on the part #.
But I didn't look closely to see if they were a match.

You may want to consult the actual TSB on this specific problem before ordering your parts, this TSB calls for more than just a cable by itself, this includes the trans lever your old cable end is seized to along with a couple other small items:

Thank you so much, i was thinking it might be more then just the cable and i am in NY for a few years now, so road salt definitely could be a issue with what i now know is called the trans lever. The cable was broke anyway, so it had to be replaced, if not, i now know what else to do, thank you both so much ! Cheers to the bodhisattva's of car repair
