Hi all,
For about 3 or 4 months now (began at beginning of winter), our 2002 civic has been having issues after starting up. It began as intermittent, but has gotten worse to now it is every time we start it up. What generally happens is that the car fires right up without issue, and then after about 1-2 minutes it will bog out until it sounds like it's firing on one cylinder, the engine shakes, and then it springs back to life. It will do this 1-2 times after startup on a cold engine and then run without issue. Also, it happens quicker if you attempt to drive it before this happens. If you put it in Drive immediately, it will do it within seconds. It does seem like fuel is being cut off for a moment before it springs back to life. I've video-taped it and posted it here.

Should have mentioned those in OP. Brought it to dealer and they mentioned O2 sensor, and a leak in the manifold. But the O2 sensor had been thrown a long time before this issue. I have just ordered throttle body cleaner and will attempt that this weekend, but wanted to see if there were any obvious answers people on this forum might be able to provide!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

What's the code number, specif....forget it.
The fault code it for the front (or primary or upper) O2 sensor.
Unplug the front sensor and give the car a drive and see if the problem is gone.
Replace it with a correct DENSO sensor (or NTK, whichever came in it from the factory)
No cheapo Botch, BW, or Wells or anything else.
If it has a code for the rear sensor, same deal. Fix it with correct parts.
Disconnect battery for a few minutes to clear codes, run it and relearn idle.
I heard the manifold leaking in the video too. It needs attention but I don't think it's causing the stumble.
