New ball joint smushed

Hey I was putting in a new ball joint this morning and when I had the press on the joint I realized I used the wrong adapter and I started crushing the ball joint threads instead of installing it. I actually was able to restore the threads with a thread restorer kit but now the ball joint moves really easily and it goes up and down in the socket. Should I just trash this ball joint or is it still usable compared to my old one?

Re: New ball joint smushed

if it has that much movement I'd say you need a new one
