Fuel pressure test fitting?
Fuel pressure test fitting?
I want to perform a fuel pressure test on my 2005 Civic LX.
The prcedure says to
to connect gage at the quick disconnect fittings. what I need to know is: Where cn I get the adapter needed to connect my fuel test gage to these quick disconnect fittings. Is there some other way that I can measure fuel pressure at the rail?
thanks foe any help or suggestions

Re: Fuel pressure test fitting?
If you can not find the part at an auto shop you could pull another fuel rail from a scrap yard and cut it.
Then use a hose and hose clamps to mate it to the pressure gauge.

Re: Fuel pressure test fitting?
There are no fuel pressure test ports provided. You would have to either "T" into the system at a quick connect joint, or maybe clamp the tester hose to the steel pipe that comes up to the firewall --without the plastic tubing or fuel rail connected, or if the tester has a fitting that could slide into a quick connect and seal up that could work too.

Friends,
I'm also trying to diagnose an issue and could use a place to tee into the fuel line before the injector rail. Can someone link to a coupling or adapter that will allow me to connect to the fuel line quick disconnects to a common test kit? This is the one that can be rented from Autozone's and O'Reilly's stores:

Clamping the gauge to the steel barb at the firewall won't work if you want to get readings while the engine is running. I can't imagine it's too hard to get fuel line pressure reading for our Civics, but I can't find any simple solutions. I'm consigned myself to ordering an adapter/coupling. Thanks for your time!
PS. Pump problems may be rare, but a number of different things could cause low pressure at the rail. Thanks again.
