yeah, so slightly connected to engine or road speed, but also can just come or go.
seems more on the passenger side
can't get it to happen on the rare occasions I can get a second driver

Thanks!
not speakercone anyway
could be the deck, speaker grill, pillar cover, seat belt mounts
I was hoping there was a common buzz from that area that was a known fault

Whats the most likely source of this annoying buzz/rattle
2nd answer: I don't hear anything.
Get it making noise or whatever it does, then go around listening and using your hands to try to change or stop the noise. Once you can narrow it down to an area you can figure out more about what it is and what to do about it.
Banging on parts and areas with your hands might replicate the noise if it's caused by vibration.
Play a song with lots of bass, or maybe talking.
If you can do anything to make the problem happen without driving the car, that's half the battle in trying to locate it.

Re: Whats the most likely source of this annoying buzz/rattle coming from the rear de
A few months ago I installed new speakers (6x9 rear, 6.5" front) on my 6th gen coupe and afterwards the rear deck rattled pretty bad. Did some internet research and most replies for reducing rattle said to remove rear deck and install foam padding between metal frame and plastic deck. I didn't want to go through that effort and ended up stuffing some old (clean ..lol) socks from the various holes under the deck, in the trunk. It didn't elimate the buzz but definitely helped.

Rear speakers don't work, so thats out
haven't tried thumping it, was kinda hoping to have someone point out that gen 7 coupes are well known to have the XXX panel buzz like crazy

Your description was severely lacking significant details, so all you should hope to get is wildass guesses from us.
Re: Whats the most likely source of this annoying buzz/rattle coming from the rear de
right on
guess Ill tap some wedges into all the gaps I see on the passenger side of the rear deck
and see if I can narrow it down

It could be your rear window if the seal is old.
Mine rattles like hell when the weather drops in temperature but it's quiet in the summer, guess the seal expands.
