AC Clutch stuck like mud
I'm working on my wife's 2007 Odyssey - confirmed bad field coil on the AC compressor. Thought this was going to be like a 1 hour job at best but the clutch plate will not budge. If I didn't see the little screw and have it removed I'd swear it was a press fit. PB Blaster, light taps, heavy taps, a little prying, knowing I'm guaranteeing the purchase of a new clutch plate also but it won't budge. At this point I don't want to do much more because I'm afraid to damage the compressor.
I have a jaw-type puller tool from Autozone but my question is - anyone have any additional tips on what to do?
When I replaced the ac clutch on my Civic it literally just slid right off...

Re: AC Clutch stuck like mud
So forget all the fancy tools. The clutch plate is actually threaded. Just drive an M8-1.25 12 threads/inch with the clutch holder in place (13mm socket on bolt) and it will come right off. My guess is this is universal for the clutch plate so this should work on a Civic also.
