One headlight won't work

After doing some work on my 2001 Civic LX this weekend, including removing the battery, I have the following issues with my right headlight:

Low Beam does not work
Parking lights do not work

However the following works:

High beam works
Turn signal works
Hazard lights work

I have checked the fuses and there are no problems. I switched the fuse for the left and the right and the left still worked. I switched the left and the right relays. The left still worked. I have power to the wiring harness. When I turn the switch on for the low beams I get 12V at the harness.

I am thinking I did something to the ground for the headlight. Is the ground for the low beam and parking lights connected? Is there something other than the ground that could cause this?

Well your low beam is a seperate element from your high beam so you may just need a new bulb. One bulb does both high and low. Did you check the filament?

Parking light bulb could also be bad. Check the filament and connector. There is a ground location on the frame under the light but if all you did was remove the battery those should not have been disturbed.

test the ground at the connector,

connect the negative of a voltmeter to the ground at the connector, and connect the positive of the voltmeter to the + battery post, you should get a reading the same as your battery voltage,

change the bulbs from right side to left side?

Which is the ground at the connector? I saw red/blue, red/white and red/yellow at the connector for the headlight. I am used to seeing ground as being black. My next step is to change the light. It was dark outside last night when I was trouble shooting.

I did look at the bulb. It looked good, but I will switch it to make sure.

Re: One headlight won't work

RED/YLW is 12V common to H & L filaments.

RED/WHT is grounding path for low beam.
RED/BLU is grounding path for high beam.
