dead clutch problems...NEED HELP...

Ill start off with my car. It's a 2005 civic ex limited edition 1.7L SOHC-V.
Driving one day my clutch just gave out so I stopped at a friends and the reservoir was low so filled it w dot3. Drove away, gave out again, called for help, found that there was a leak coming from the plunger on the clutch slave cyl. Changed the slave and bled the clutch for 35-40 mins still no pressure. Did a bunch of research and found that basically if one was cyl was going out then there's a good chance that the other one is going to. So I bought the master clutch cyl changed it and nothing. Found out on this forums that a guy had the same prob n he took it to the shop n they bench bled the slave and masterto fix it, so I watched a bunch of videos on how to bench bleed a clutch master, tried, still no pressure. Then seen a vid about reverse bleeding the system from the slave up through the master and out the reseviour. In the vid he took the master out, bench bled it, hooked it up and pumped the slave to bring air out the clutch res. Bubbles came out but no pressure heard about the pressure plate in the tranny hoping its not so, but here I am and there's my life's story hope someone has any better idea's... Mahaloz

I hate bleeding hydraulic lines...seems like something I can never manage to get right. How are you bleeding the line? 2 people....one pumping the clutch, one turning the bleeder or using a vacuum pump?

Re: dead clutch problems...NEED HELP...

I had some issues bleeding after replacing my slave cylinder too. I went to Harbor Frieght and bought a vacuum bleeder. I attached the air compressor to it, filled the bottle with brake fluid and placed it over the reservoir. Placed the hose over the bleed nipple, squeezed the handle on the bleeder. Then open the bleed nipple. Go into car and work clutch pedal up and down. The bleeding took about 20-30 seconds. Air gone, clutch pedal firm and working great.
