Metal Piece Behind Rotor Bent?

Hey guys,

I have a 2001 civic ex that ive been fixing up and was going to do the rotors and brakes and noticed that the piece of metal behind the rotor seemed bent in relation to the other side of the car. The vehicle was in a front end collision and thats probably why it got bent a little.

Heres some photos:

Is it ok just to bend it back a little so it doesent seem so close?

Thanks for the information!

yes you can bend it,

its just a shield to protect the rotor a bit from road spray and debris
