Is it time to let it go?

My 2003 Civic has a little over 185K miles and has run well until the last year. The transmission is slipping and getting worse daily. It also needs 3 gaskets/seals replaced (that I am aware of). Add a set of tires and I am looking to spend between $2300 and $3700 to keep it moving. Is it time to get a new one?

Unless you really love the car and have an emotional attachment then it might be time to sell. I spent $1500 to fix mine but I have money invested in mods and the rest of the car is holding up great. I also enjoy it and have an attachment to it.
