Re: p0336 wont run right

When you changed the sensor, did you change out the wiring harness too? It sounds like it's an electrical problem that's throwing off your sensor. Are your battery and alternator still in ship shape?

Umm I'm pretty sure that's not happening since that involves changing the entire sub wire harness for the engine bay. Piece #1 below.

Have you checked your timing? Any timing belt work done on the car lately?

Hitting [CTRL] and [+] helped me read it better :-)

Basically the troubleshooting JJ291 linked to involves checking the voltage between various points and the sensor itself. Step one involves an ECU relearn procedure.

Re: p0336 wont run right

ECU relearn is hecka easy. It just takes about fifteen minutes of your time.
1.) Warm the car up to operating temperature.
2.) Shut it off.
3.) Go under the hood and pull the ECU fuse (more on that in a bit) and put it back in.
4.) Start the car. Make sure all lights/AC/radio/other electrical items are OFF
5.) Let the car idle for 10 minutes. DO NOT touch the gas.
6.) Idle relearn complete, your gas mileage may be crappier and you won't pass emissions for a hundred miles or so. Boom goes the dynamite.

It's always better to research your question first before you post... chances are pretty good that it has been covered before.

Re: p0336 wont run right

I ended up taking it to a shop and the reason for it running so bad was actually a coil pack and the coolant temp sensor but it still has the code the guy at the shop said it was possible that it could of been from it missing so bad that it caused the code but I've been driving it around fir a little while and I reset the codes with a scanner and I still have the code and it is jerking a little and is limited to 3500 rpm so where should I go from here?
