Rep Power: 0 White Smoke Blowing Out of Air Vents
I have a 2002 Civic EX and I was driving on the highway, when I noticed this white smoke blowing out of the air vents. The smoke did have a smell to it almost like freshly cut grass. Now I did just recently recharge the freon last week because my A/C was blowing warm air. After I noticed this smell I turned the A/C off immediately and turned it on 20 minutes later and there was no smoke. Could this be a freon leak in the air conditioning system or could it be condensation due to the humidity and rain that I was driving through? If someone could let me know what this problem is and how to fix it that would be great. Thanks.

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one

AC is still nice and cold? If it is, then you didn't lose any freon.
You had it set on fresh air on a rather humid day. You witnessed a cloud, literally, of water vapor. It's a natural phenomenon under a certain set of conditions.
Use recirculated air instead of fresh air.
