Question not sure what to title this... 04 LX

Hi, I'm new.
I don't own a civic or import for that matter... my friend owns a 04 lx. He had a heating issue, he had his opinions and I said thermostat. I win! Also the ¿housing cap? Where two houses connected had a bunch of gunk. Disconnected hoeses and made sure oassages were clean.. good clean flow. Fixed the issue but we have few questions.

A.-
His wiring on the front, fans and anything in that area are electical taped, I suggested new wires. But lacks funds.
A wire the connects to ac, he untapped to show me that 1.-the ac would turn on with fans 2.- the engine will shake and act as if it is abiut to die but won't. Then it will reurn to normal. Butwhen removed I resumes as normal.
The way he did this is by making the end of the cable touch the engie. Also the engine ground wire near the thermostat was loose.

B.-when we where driving with the ac on going around 60-80 we felt as if it the car would go into N.
The ac looses the "cold" and goes "cool" until the sensation just mentioned happens... I didn't get a view on rpm to see if it changed.

C.-
At a stop, when we tried to accel... nothing. Reached "2500rpm" then started to accel. He switched gears from D to N and back. He claims to not feel any slippage or tranny issues.

P.S.- No cel
