This Temperature level is normal??
Hi everybody, im new in this world of Honda Civic, and i come with a lot of question for the experts XD
About 3 months ago I bought my 2001 Honda Civic LX. I saw the temperature gauge does not mean a normal level, the car apparently did not reach an optimum temperature seemed rather cold work all the time. About a week ago changed the thermostat, water pump, coolant sensor and replace old coolant with a new Honda Genuine Type 2. After doing all this to my surprise the temperature remained the same. Perhaps this is normal temperature level or could be some other problem?

P. D. Check engine light is on because after changing the timing belt on the scanner appeared the code P0335 something with relation to a crank sensor, do not think this has to do with temperature but if someone can also help solve this would be very grateful.
Thank you!

Re: This Temperature level is normal??
#1) Fix the P0335....CKP Sensor No Signal
#2) Use a better code reader or a Scangauge type toy to read the engine coolant temperature in a live data readout.
Operating temperature should be roughly 180-200*F after fully warmed up. (I'd confirm the data by comparing to a real thermometer or IR temp gun.)
If that is where the gauge sits at that temp, then that is where it sits for that temp.

Re: This Temperature level is normal??
On a lot of my older Japanese cars the temp indicator always ran lower then middle,
I think they centered them up more later.... maybe 04-05 but I cant recall where mine set.
My 2010 is 1 segment from center, and the 2012+ no longer has a gauge.

Re: This Temperature level is normal??
Every Japanese car I've ever owned has had a temp gauge, can't imagine not having one. Would like to see them bring it back.... but not likely.
