Help bought for my son, problems starting sometimes ?

Hey Guys,

I have an issue that is with the car starting. It is a 2004 Honda civic with 120k miles on it and I am wondering why it won't start sometimes at all, or will take some time to start. The battery is fine I just got it checked at advanced auto parts. I notice when I move the cables around it will then start up fine. What happens is I will put key in and it will click over once and then nothing will happen. This doesn't happen all the time but maybe lik 10-20% of the times. Maybe it is a starter issue, or battery cables connecting to the battery or corrision? I am out of ideas any help?

The problem lies within this observation.

At least you got to make this observation. Let's see what else you can do with it. Find the bad connection and fix it.

Ok How do I go about finding the bad connection? I am new to cars myself would call someone but I know they will rip me off.. I sprayed the battery spray on the terminals to clean it up and it happened again. If it was a bad starter it wouldn't start at all right? Also what about the alternator? I never had the battery just die out when driving and don't have any issues with it charging at all..Also I don't think it is corroded but I am not sure how to tell

Are the terminals at the battery tight?
You should NOT be able to move them with your hand.

Is there corrosion at the battery terminals?
