P0122 and Throttle Position Sensor Replacement 2001 Civic

My Civic is throwing an intermittent P0122 and was looking to replace my TPS.

From what I've found on the web, I need to cut the pins holding the TPS to the throttle body OR cut a slot in the pins and unscrew them? Which is it? Are they threaded or not for a 2001 Civic?

thanx

They are screws.

They had break-away heads that snap off when tightened so as to make the sensor tamper proof.
