Good Day
I have an 04 civic SI with 200 000Kms,
The past little while I have been receiving a misfire in cylinders 1 and 2.
Spark plugs were changed, compression test done and coils checked by swapping to other cylinders.
CEL still comes on for 1 and 2.
Shop is talking about going wire hunting,
I don't really feel any symptoms of a misfire except perhaps for noticeable shaking at very low rpms, especially while creeping forward at an idle
Any advice is much appreciated!

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
Re: Misfire
Canadian SI with 1.7 engine? US SI with 2.0?
Post the freeze frame data.
I bet the EGR distribution plate/chamber needs cleaned.

Re: Misfire
You can check it out on ur spark plugs wires aswell man. My gf had a 98 ford explorer n it had misfire from the spark plug wires. I changed them n it went away. Easy way to check that is at nite time. Wait till dark. Start up ur car n open up the hood n take a carefull look at ur plug wires n if u see sparks from ur wires then u should change them. Hope that will help u out buddy. From stephen
