2004 Civic Door Seals
2004 Civic Door Seals
My son called said his driver's side door was leaking. He lives a few hours away so I do not have the car to look at it.
On the Door panel parts it lists a weather strip and a sub-seal. The weatherstrip seems obvious, but I'm not sure if I need the sub-seal also, or is that of the window channel?

Re: 2004 Civic Door Seals
Leaking what? Wind? Water? Maple syrup? Come on....
I'll assume it's leaking water, that's what most normal people would complain about.
Leaking WHERE?
(Window broken out? Stereo missing too? Oh, he didn't tell you that part huh?)
See where it is leaking from (the kid should be able to handle this without assistance, tell him to open BOTH eyes) before throwing seals at it.
The seal that matters most is the one that wraps all the way around the door, not the one attached to the body.....unless he is talking about a window problem....
Was someone inside the door recently? The plastic vapor barrier sheet could be damaged or missing, that could let water come right in past the inner door panel.

Door seal is 12/16

Glass run channel is 7/12

Under "pillar garnish" is the seals that go around the openings for the doors, on the body side. Color coded.
