Re: honda part number help needed
Tough to say from here. Probably the seal for the input shaft, maybe the axle seals. It's been quite a while since I had one of those open.
Anything else going wrong inside the tans should be addressed while it is apart, like does it crunch any of the gears when shifting? Fix that.
A tube of Hondabond sealer (or some Permatex Ultra Gray seems like the same stuff) to seal the case sections upon reassembly.
I usually make a preliminary estimate based on the complaint, with the understanding that once the unit is opened up more issues might be found.

Hi,
I am planing to replace my driver side axle seal (ATF leak)on my Civic 05 LX Auto.I need help in finding out the correct Honda Part# for the axle seal. Also the boot has a small crack in it, but the grease are still there. So while I am taking the axle out, should I replace the whole seal, or just replace the boot by disassembling the axle.
I never did it before but I think I will do it. Thanks for any idea please.

Hi.
This link:
http://www.hondaautomotiveparts.com/...CONVERTER+CASE

Part #10 is the left (drivers side) axle seal.
Axle boot: I'd use a factory boot and replace it UNLESS the CV joint has been open long enough to lose the grease and start clicking loudly. At that point I would recommend an axle.
To replace an outer boot, you are supposed to start with taking the inner joint apart.
It is messy. Don't wipe that stuff on your jeans.
You may need a real boot clamp squeezing tool for the job to do the final tighten on the clamps. Diagonal cutters might be used if you are real careful. (Depends on the type of clamps supplied though, some you can tighten without the tool.)
Factory boot kit should have all the new grease and all the clamps to do the complete job, but most aftermarkets don't have all that.
Link with axle parts:

Pic has left and right axles labeled.
Left and Right are always determined as you sit in the drivers seat. Left is drivers side, always and forever.
(This may be why I have never been able to think of left and right like normal people LOL)
