Should I buy bumper clips when swapping headlight assemblies?
Should I buy bumper clips when swapping headlight assemblies?
I just purchased a new headlight assembly (driver & passenger) for my 03 civic sedan and I've heard that many times the clips that hold the front bumper on break when removing.
I was wondering if you all suggest I go ahead and purchase some bumper clips. I would prefer not to if I wouldn't need them, but if it's a good chance I will I would rather have them ahead of time.
Here are the ones I'm looking at:
Thanks!

If they've never been taken off by yourself, then I would definitely pick some up. The ones on the underside get especially bad, because of all the road grime that'll get up in them. The first time I took off my bumper, I believe I broke at least 4 of them, and that was being careful.

You don't need to, but it wouldn't hurt to have some on hand. There was a point in time where my front number was held on by no more than the 4 bumper clips on the radiator cover and each screw in the fenderwell. Made it quick and easy to take my bumper off.

To the OP: The older the clips get the more brittle they get. Always a good idea to have a box of them around.
