Battery keeps draining, car dies while driving. Help meee
Geeze where do I start.*
On Saturday on my way to work I was driving on the freeway cruising at 60 web my car all the sudden feels like it dies then starts back up within half a second my stereo, radar, and my gauges all restart while I'm doing 60. It scared the crap out of me. I just thought maybe it was the battery because it is pretty old and was starting to corrode.*
Then that night I started the car everything was fine and on my way home it did it again luckily it was at 3am and no one was on the road. But it just dies all electronics turn off *and start back up within a second.*
The next day I drove up to autozone and bought a new battery. And everything seemed fine drove it around town and nothing *so I figured *problem solved!
Monday morning drive to and from work and no problems. And I get home about 530pm and car sits for an hr no electronics on at all and try to start it at 630 7ish and the car won't even start no clicks nothing battery is completely drained. I get a jump from my neighbor and I drive to autozone so they can read the battery. On the way there the electronics keep shutting off and turning back on like how it was a couple days before. I park at autozone and I sit there for a second and the car completely dies.*
They come outside and do an alternate check and the alternator is fine and they check the battery and the battery is completely dead. They replace it under warranty and figured it was just maybe a bad battery. I go to my uncle house and we look at it and everything looks fine and just figure that something has to e drawing power from it some how.*
After an hr I turn my car back on and I have a check engine light on now and I get it read and it pulls up code p1298 which is either*
-ELD circuit high input cause problem
-open or short circuit connection
-failed ECM
I was thinking open circuit because I pulled out the alternator fuse and started the car to see if it would do anything but wasn't paying attention to the gauges so that might have caused the CEL.*
What do y'all think it is? I'm hoping something very small and fixable considering I just put quite a bit of money on my suspension and was going to be putting it on this weekend.*
P.S. sorry for the long read. I'm just very extremely frustrated at the moment. And I disconnected my amp power wire from battery to see if that stops it from draining.*

Ya that's what I was thinking. They gave me another new battery and it's working great. Havnt had anymore electronic cutoffs while driving so far. But if it happens again I'm going to replace the alternator and hopefully it fixes the problem.
