Re: Need sme help 02 civic speedo not working car not taking off in D

Does the D light up on the cluster when the shifter is in Drive?

Does the check engine light work?
Does it have a P0500 code?
What codes DOES it have?
Which codes come right back?

Drive the car with the scanner attached:
Does the scanner show VSS to be working and accurate in the datalist when the car is driven?

Also, make absolutely certain that the trans solenoids don't have the connectors swapped. Check them all. This is real easy to get wrong on many of the trannys.

(If they were wrong before you did the trans, and you put them right back where they were, then they are still wrong. Right?)

Well, I certainly wouldn't have guessed at that.
It is almost impossible to guess what an idiot could have done.

Sounds like replacing the harness is your best choice at the moment, until you know more.

The whole engine harness?

Re: Need sme help 02 civic speedo not working car not taking off in D

So the wiring made some sort of improvement, or difference?

A 2002 doesn't have a separate TCM in the US.
Do you mean the black connector (C) that contains most or all of the trans wiring at the PCM?

Got "P code" format? I can't look up the codes on the Honda site in that format. (01-1 comes up as ABS)

"A/T system malfunction" (P0700, sort of generic for anything trans related) only means there is another trans code, and the dealer tech needs to look in the trans section of the PCM to find it. (The HDS has engine and trans separate.)

Lockup sol fail is incorrect resistance seen by the PCM, so I'd ohm check the solenoid then ohm check the same thing from the PCM connector. To start with.
Also make sure the wires go to the right pins in the PCM connector.

Heater fail is usually a bad O2 sensor, but seeing as how you have hacked wiring, anything is possible.
Same as with the other issue above.
