2001 Honda Civic fender accident
Hello guys,
Just bought this car registered yesterday. While taking the car out of parking lot, something fell on my legs and while picking it up i accidently gassed car
I believe and rammed against guard rail in parking. Please see pictures.
I checked my insurance and I dont have collision covered. Any idea on how hard the damage is and cost to fix it? Trying to get it as I had it as I bought it yesterday.
Thanks in advance

Ouch! Yeah, that's gonna take professional work to make it like it was. You can't just replace body panels with that one. You may have bent the frame, for sure they're gonna have to replace the front left frame piece(s). And you're gonna need a new radiator support welded on, not to mention all the body panels and headlight. I would say you're looking at thousands, probably closer to $5000. You should be thankful you didn't hit the airbag sensor and set the bags off, that's another $2000-3000 new.
You could possibly save some money if you had the body shop do only the frame and radiator support and you replace all the body panels with salvage stuff. You can find the body panels and headlight salvage for less than $500.

My favorite TV shows are JDM. My Honda isn't...

That's rotten luck!
With damage like that on a 2001, it's nearly totaled. That could be anywhere from $3,000 - $5,000 depending on the condition of the frame and if anything mechanical got disturbed. Luckily the front left is mostly general fluids and your alternator. Still, that's not a very easy fix, sorry man

Frame isnt bent really that bad. But yea its probably border line totaled. Get aftermarket parts and try to find a somewhat cheap body shop. You get what you pay for.. but I highly doubt you want to drop 2,000+ for a car that isnt worth much over double that. Usually 50% of the damage or more the car is totaled.
However I have seen cases where it has gone either way.
