car shuts off when the motor heats up

car shuts off when the motor heats up first of all my car does not turn on unless you step on gas but only if the motor is heated up... and when the car idle under 1000 rpm it shuts off unless i keep step on gas.. i got my car check up and they say it was the E.L.D.. i replace that part and it still act the same.. so the thing is that do i have to reset the ecu for the car to run normally... i really need help on this one cause my car been sitting for a month...
