Hello everyone.

I found a small crack in my manifold and want to get it taken care of.

A welder friend said he could fix it for 50 bucks.

Another friend works for Magnaflow and said he could get me the following part for 100 bucks. Magnaflow part number 42092 if links do not work.

I am leaning towards installing the Magnaflow myself since its made of stainless steel and I do not have to worry about it cracking unlike the stock cast iron part. Just worried I might get a CEL by using the Magnaflow.

I also live in California and just hope I can pass a smog test with either option.

What do you all think?
