2001 civic
2001 civic
have a 2001 civic ex. changed the alternator and battery. battery and srs lights are on. car stalls after driving a bit. abs and alarm lights come on intermittently. am at my wits end. any help would be appreciated!

The srs light is likely unrelated to your issues, it signifies an issue with the airbag system, search arnd you'll find information on how to clear the indicator. If the light is on the airbags will not deploy in an accident.

I just had very similar problems. srs light, abs light on and some stalling. I manually read my codes and got a code 61 (ignition voltage). Get your alternator checked. My alternator was charging at 16.7 volts. After i changed it, no more warning lights and car ran smooth. After you disconnect your battery make sure you initialize the PCM idle learn procedure. Both abs and srs lights were affected by the high voltage. I'm glad this fixed up the srs. I have already replaced both belts within the last 2 years to the tune of about $900.
