please help

ok i have 2001 honda civic lx i purchased this car about 3 weeks ago.when i purchased it it had a crack in the manifold needed a tune up oils change wheel bearings and a few mis things .all done but the manifold i had it welded becaus ei really dont want to cont to dump money in this car.now to my problem when its cool or when first start up runs nice for about 2 min then it starts to sputter and slows down and wont really go anywhere but since im in a stick shift i work with it.that goes on for about 30 secounds.after its fine.if im driving and theres no traffic it runs great but once i stop or get in heavy traffic bam the idol goes down to almost zero and wont go anywhere.it wont go over 20 miles an hour.or in most cases wont even start.so then i wait for for the car to cool down and after 20 min and its ok like its crazy.if its cool out it run fine.it pull some codes but i forget what they were but i know one was an 02 senser and the other 2 were misfiring.so i changed the spark pugs and coils still does it,any ideas or tips on what i should do next.im not a mechanic but i dont mind tring certain things.so please help thanks the newb

Re: please help

Please post the exact codes that came up.

You should change the 02 sensor as well.

Re: please help

All the service manual says is to check each sensor, the wires/connectors for continuity, and the ECM/PCM. It's so unusual for all those sensors to go bad at once I doubt they did. The next thing to assume is the ECM/PCM is dead but, the scan tool can communicate so we know it's good. The thing that all those sensors have in common is they use the same ground- G101, which is the ground running from the front of the engine to the radiator support.

Check/fix that ground and reset the ECM/PCM to see if the codes go away: With the ignition OFF, pull the #6 fuse in the under-hood fuse box for at least 10 seconds.

Re: please help

Cool. Check for loose connections at the sensor before replacing. Also, Hondas are real finicky about O2 sensors for some reason. I would recommend getting OEM. It's #7: http://www.hondapartscheap.com/south...ty22=1&qty24=1
