Check Engine Light went on - Code P2646 - When I checked the oil - was three quarts low. Just had the oil change less then a month ago. If the Oil pressure switch needs to be replaced would that cause the buring of oil?

1. Fill the oil up to the correct level
2. Reset the ECM/PCM (with the ignition off, pull fuse #6 in the under-hood fuse box for 10 seconds)
3. Turn the car on and hold it at 3000-rpm with no load (in park or neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle for a couple of minutes
4. Accelerate in 1st gear to over 5000-rpm and hold for 2 seconds
Did the code come back?
NO- It was the low oil level
YES- I'll tell ya the rest if you need it.
