quick help needed on o2 sensors

I have a quick question. On the upstream o2 sensor, that is the one out of header right? And with the connectors on an 01 lx there is 2 different connectors 1 male and 1 female, which one goes where? ie male to upstream and female to downstream???

Re: quick help needed on o2 sensors

I bought a new o2 sensor but the plugs dont match. I just want to ensure the I am hooking them up correctly. I think I got a downstream instead of up stream.

The DX and LX sensors are different from the EX, and by different I mean the upstream is the opposite male/female then what its supposed to be.

Just find the upstream sensor and trace it back to the connecting bracket right by the exhaust manifold where they plug into the rest of the engine harness.

Re: quick help needed on o2 sensors

OK so after reviewing the receipt and the part numbers online the guy sold me the upstream for the EX. So wrong plugs. Got new one today but took old to verify the plugs matching. Will install today and let everyone know if it was the problem.
