I have a 2002 civic with the following upgrades-12"sub pulling 500 watts, footwell LED lighting, ecu **** light LED swap. I have never had any problems with this car before, within the past two days the maintenance would flash for a couple seconds when I started the car, I understand that this is just something that happens ever so often and does not indicate a problem. Next thing I noticed was the check engine light came on, it was raining and I hit a puddle, it wasn't that deep at all and I thought nothing of it but the light came one shortly after. The next day when I went to start my car it wouldnt turnover. I would hear clicking coming from the center console, and not like the battery is dead clicking, this sounded weak like my turn signal was on and when I applied the brake I would hear nothing. I unplugged my amp and everything I had plugged into the 12v outlet and got a jump, the car started right up. On my way down the highway I got greedy and turned up my radio, car died right there, got another jump and was on my way. About a half hour later I was stopped with the engine on and the car died again, pushed it into an empty spot and came back a couple hours later. Jumped it again to get it running and as soon as I turned on my lights it died, jumped it again and drove home, about 10 minutes away. When I got home I let the engine run occasionally revving it for about 15 more minutes. I killed the engine and tried to start it up again and got the same problem, just clicking in the center console. I know a little about this car but not enough to diagnose the problem, is it just a bad battery or am I completely ****ed. Figured I would see what the wise minds of civicforums had to say before taking it to a mechanic and getting bent over. Any help is appreciated.

Took the battery to a friend that works at sears automotive, it was bad, got a new one, started right up, tested the alternator, good to go. thanks for the help
