2003 Honda Civic. The Air Conditioning Caused A Parasitic Drain Last summer. Pulled The Fuse, ran Without It and everything was fine. Lost the Heat End Of Last Winter, Needed It Fixed now, Brought It To My Son - An Apprentice. He Thought It Was The Thermostat, Replaced It. Didn't Work. Did Something That Caused The Heat To Work, But I Told Me I Could Not Touch The Hot/cold Dial. Thought It Could Be 1 Of 3 Problems - The Most Expensive Of Which Would Be The Computer. Since He Did This, It's Been Idling Weird And The RPMs Will Go Up For No Reason. Few Days Later The Engine Light Came On And The Temp Guage Will Not Go Past Cold (it's Very Cold Out) Though We Do Have Decent Enough Heat Coming Out Of The Vents. Could The Computer Cause All Of These Problems And also Cause The Engine Light To Go On? If so, I'll Just Move Forward To Replace The Computer and Save A Lot Of Troubleshooting And Hassle. If Not, What Could Be The Cause Of The Engine Light Going On When It's Running Fine Other Than A Slightly Higher Idle intermittently, which only happened after the kid messed with the heating system?
